AnDAPT offers six power solutionsIssuing time:2024-07-31 11:03 AnDAPT, a supplier of highly integrated and configured power management chip (PMIC) products built on proprietary and breakthrough mixed-signal FPGA platforms, today introduced six new PMIC solutions that enable it to power multiple power rails for the Xilinx ZU+ MPSoC FPGA family and Xilinx defined use cases. AnDAPT works closely with Xilinx to provide devices that accelerate a variety of industrial and computing applications, including industrial (motor control, programmable logic control, Internet of Things (IoT)), medical, networking, and data center devices. Design of power development cycle. Bill McLean, CEO of AnDAPT, said: "The AnDAPT reference design leverages the clear benefits of its unique technology, including flexibility, scalability and integration, to deliver an efficient system and significantly reduce PCB area, while the system changes power configuration and sequencing even after final assembly. Most of these reference designs are supported by AmP devices and can have the different personalization capabilities (PMIC) that SPI flash provides." Xilinx ZU+ MPSoC power architecture requires more than 25 power rails Based on an analysis of the Xilinx ZU+ MPSoC power supply architecture, the MPSoC IC requires more than 25 power rails between the PS(processing system) and PL(programmable logic) domains (see figure above). The AnDAPT reference design meets or exceeds Xilinx power performance specifications, reducing the PCB area of the solution by combining and reducing the number of devices used. AnDAPT plans to launch similar power solutions for the Kintex, Artix, Virtex, Versal and Spartan series in the future. AnDAPT has developed an intuitive software tool, WebAmp R.D., that provides users with optimal flexibility in reference designs. The design is based on the part numbers and use cases defined by Xilinx for the ZU+ MPSoC FPGA device family. Users can apply these reference designs as-is, or modify the track sequence, change the output voltage, change the maximum current per track, and disable unused tracks if desired. For customization, WebAmp R.D. provides all the necessary design documentation, including design files, reference schematics, data sheets, Boms, and layout guidelines. If additional features, such as system tracks or glue logic, are required, the generated design file can be used on the WebAmP software tool for further modification. |
